Privacy Policy

The short version

• Every debt, income source, expense, and savings goal you enter is stored only in your browser's local storage. It is never sent to, or stored on, any server we control.
• The only personal data involved is your email address, which Stripe (our payment processor) collects when you pay. We don't run a database of customers.
• We don't use analytics, tracking cookies, or advertising trackers of any kind.

Your financial data

Everything you type into Unfreeze — debts, income, expenses, savings, settings — is saved with your browser's localStorage, on your own device. It stays there unless you export it yourself (via the Export data button) or clear your browser's storage. We have no access to it, no copy of it, and no way to see it. Payment data

When you unlock the full version, payment is handled entirely by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. We never see or store your card details — Stripe handles that under its own security and privacy standards.

To confirm a purchase or restore access on a new device, our server asks Stripe whether a payment exists for your checkout session or email address. That check happens in real time and isn't logged or stored anywhere by us afterwards. Your purchase email may be saved in your own browser's local storage (so you're reminded which email to use if you switch devices) — again, only on your device, not ours.

Technical data

Unfreeze is hosted on Vercel. Like virtually any website, Vercel's infrastructure may log basic technical information (such as IP address and request timestamps) as part of normal server operation. We don't access or use these logs for anything beyond keeping the site running.

What we don't do

• We don't use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any similar tracking tool.
• We don't sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing.
• We don't build a profile of you or your finances — we couldn't, even if we wanted to, since your financial data never reaches us.

Your rights

Because your financial data lives only on your device, you're already in full control of it: use Export data to download a copy at any time, or Reset to delete it permanently from that device. For anything related to your payment (held by Stripe) or your purchase email, email us and we'll help.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Since we don't collect an email list for marketing, we won't be able to notify you directly — check back here if you're curious.
